John J. Armbruster, DDS, graduated in 1995 from The University of Maryland's Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He then completed a one-year residency program at Lehigh Valley Hospital Systems in Allentown, PA. Next, Dr. Armbruster was involved in an associateship for two years in Bowie, MD before settling in the Upstate in 1998, with his wife Lisa and their children Bryant and Olivia. He is currently a partner in Woodruff Family Dentistry LLC, Crowns Now, Inc., and Crowns Now Family Dentistry, Inc. He is certified by the American Orthodontic Society, the American Society for Dental Aesthetics, the Academy of Computerized Dentistry, and is also Invisalign certified. Dr. Armbruster is also a member of the World Clinical Laser Institute.
Thorpe A. Jacob, DMD, attended the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. He served our country for three years in the United State Navy earning the rank of Lieutenant and providing dental care to our armed forces. He has been practicing in Woodruff, S.C. for the last 18 years. He is certified by the Warshaw Academy of Oral Surgery, the American Orthodontic Society, the Clinical Foundation of Orthopedics and Orthodontics and the American Society for Dental Aesthetics. He is certified in Bone Biology, Harvesting and Grafting by The International Congress of Oral Implantologists and is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Jacob is also a member of the World Clinical Laser Institute, Academy of Computerized Dentistry, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry and he is Invisalign Certified.
J. Sterling "Chip" Davis, III graduated from The College of Wooster in 1987, where he earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in History with a concentration in Business and Labor Relations. Chip's twenty-year career in the Hospitality Industry has helped develop a passion for world class service and team development. He has worked in senior management roles with various brands within companies as Hyatt Hotels, Westin Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Hotels and Resorts and Hospitality America, Inc. Chip has been recognized by industry peers with multiple awards and accolades including South Carolina Hotelier of the Year in 2005. His passion for leading small business coupled with his background and experience brought him to the Crowns Now, Inc. management team in 2008 as he leads our team in all areas of daily operations including Service Delivery, Business Systems, Information Technology, Inventory and Purchasing Management, Marketing, Training and Development, and Strategic Planning. Chip brings a tangible energy to our business refining our patient centric efforts to positively impact our patients, employees, and community. Chip and his wife Katherine have two sons Parker and Mitchell. Chip is the current Chair of the Greenville County Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee, the Vice Chair of the Project Hope Foundation and a member of the Greenville CVB Board of Directors.
C. Michael Wimpy, DMD, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, attended the University of Georgia as an undergraduate and the Medical College of Georgia where he earned his dental degree. He has practiced dentistry in the Greenville area since 1982. He taught in the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs on a part-time basis at Greenville Technical College and at Tri-County Technical College. Dr. Wimpy was also a full-time instructor in a new Dental Hygiene program at Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory, NC for 3 years where he taught in the areas of oral pathology, anatomy, and dental materials.
Jamie R. Wheeler, DDS attended Villa Julie College in Stevenson, Maryland where she earned a Bachelor
of Science in Biology and later received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from West Virginia University in Morgantown. Dr. Wheeler is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, Delta Sigma Delta Dental Society, and the American Association of Women Dentists. She is originally from Baltimore, Maryland and now resides in Greenville, South Carolina.
Matthew R. Dickson, DDS is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina. He attended North Carolina State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and later graduated from the West Virginia School of Dentistry. Dr. Dickson is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association, Delta Sigma Delta Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He enjoys sailing, scuba diving and snow skiing and currently lives in Greenville, South Carolina.

J. Greg Smith, DMD, MHS received his Bachelor of Arts degree
from Wofford College, and then completed his dental training at the Medical University of South Carolina's College of Dental Medicine. While there, he went on to complete his specialty training in periodontics, and also obtained his Masters of Health Science. Dr. Smith has extensive training in periodontal and regenerative therapy, cosmetic periodontal surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery and dental implant therapy. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology and is a current member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Southern Academy of Periodontology, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Academy of Osseointegration and the American Dental Association. Dr. Smith is actively involved in the education of future periodontists. He holds appointments as Adjunct Instructor to the faculty of the Medical University of South Carolina, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Smith is committed to continuing education and has also presented lecture programs, speaking on subjects including periodontal maintenance , advance alveolar bone grafting techniques, esthetic considerations in periodontal surgery, and dental implant concepts. Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his wife, Alissa, and their two children, Katelyn and Kaleb.
Kristin J. Reed, DDS, is originally from Seymour, TN. She
received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Maryville College and later earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Reed completed a one year general practice residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she received training in advanced general dentistry and certification in IV and conscious sedation. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Reed is committed to continuing education and is presently pursuing a fellowship award from the Academy of General Dentistry. She currently resides in Columbia, SC with her husband, Paul, who is a PhD student at the University of South Carolina.
Kathleen F. Bott, DMD is originally from Albany, GA. She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences and later earned her dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She and her husband, Andrew, currently reside in Duncan, SC, along with their dog, Sam.
Catherine Giraldo, RDH, graduated from Greenville Tech, where she earned a degree in Health Science with a major in Dental Hygiene. Cathie loves her profession and enjoys seeing her patients make positive health changes. In her free time, she enjoys writing to her son Derek who is at Paris Island with the USMC. She also enjoys time with her pets, staying in shape by excercising and dancing.
Holly Howard, RDH, is a native of Bermuda and has resided in
Spartanburg, South Carolina since 1999. She joined Woodruff Family Dentistry, LLC in March 2003 after 9 years in the dental field working as a Dental Assistant and a Front Desk Receptionist in Bermuda and Connecticut. While attending Greenville Technical College she served as Student President of Hygiene in South Carolina and graduated with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene.
Kristen Starnes, RDH graduated from Greenville Technical College in 2003 where she earned an Associates Degree in Health Science with a major in Dental Hygiene. She is currently working on her Bachelors Degree in Health Science at the Medical University of South Carolina and will graduate in December of 2010. Kristen is passionate about her profession and makes every effort to ensure the comfort of her patients. When she is not working, Kristen enjoys spending time with her son, Eli, watching college football and cooking.
Sabrina Fleming, RDH received an Associates Degree in
Health Science with a major in Dental Hygiene from Greenville Technical College in 2007. Her training encompassed all phases of dental hygiene as well as local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation. After a series of fill-in jobs for various dental offices she found a permanent home at Crowns Now Family Dentistry in January of 2008. When not working, Sabrina enjoys concerts at the BiLo Center, plays at the Peace Center and attending local events in Greenville and the surrounding areas. She also enjoys shopping and relaxing with a good book or video. Sabrina is most happy when she can make someone smile.
Karen Pack, RDH, graduated from Greenville Tech in 2008
where she earned an Associates Degree in Health Science with a major in Dental Hygiene as well as her Local Anesthesia Licence. She has been part of the Woodruff Family Dentistry since July of 2009. Karen enjoys working with her patients to achieve that perfect smile. Karen and her fiance, Ryan, are getting married in the fall of 2010. They enjoy bowling, fishing, hanging out with family and friends, and going to football games.
Joni Durham, RDH, graduated from Greenville Tech where she
erned an Associate Degree in Health Science with a major in Dental Hygiene. She also recieved her Local Anesthesia Licence from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She began working as part of the Woodruff Family Dentistry team in 1996 and after a brief time in Florida returned back to the team in 2009. She has enjoyed returning to the Woodruff Family team, has enjoyed feeling like she was coming home and working with her former patients. Her pride and joy are her two grandchildren Eric and Max.
